Kenyan Awarded Scholarship By Patoranking To Study At Africa Leadership University

A Kenyan man Emmanuel Okworoit has been selected among other scholars to study at Africa Leadership University under a partnership program by Nigerian artist Patoranking. The university has branches in Mauritius and Rwanda but it is still unclear on the particular one that he will be enrolled in.

Sharing this news on his official social media pages, the ‘Suh Different’ hitmaker assured that the selected scholars will be rewarded with 100% paid tuition to facilitate the learning at the institution.

“The Patoranking Scholars will be rewarded with 100% paid tuition and a once in a lifetime opportunity of being part of the next generation of extraordinary African leaders and entrepreneurs at ALU….The Time is Now” reads his post in part

Under this program, ten individuals from different parts of Africa got the scholarship after a review process of their applications which were part of many others who expressed interest in the opportunity.

According to Patoranking, this partnership with the university was inspired by his personal journey of financial challenges he overcame and his objective is to help other young people to become future leaders who will change their communities.

Giving his statement in regard to the scholarship awarded to him, Emmanuel highlighted that his intention is to use the opportunity to empower his fellow youth in the community as well as those from marginalized areas in parts of Africa.

“I am going to use this opportunity to empower youths in my community and other Africans from marginalized areas with digital skills and tools that will help them become self- sufficient” he stated

Emmanuel becomes the first Kenyan beneficiary of this 2020/2021 inaugural scholarship program.
