Kenya 7s, South Africa In London 7s Pool A

Kenya Sevens will take part in pool A of the last leg of HSBC World Sevens Series, London Sevens set for Saturday May 20, 2017 in the UK.

Kenya will play Paris Sevens and overall champions South Africa, Mike Friday’s USA and Wales on Saturday in pool matches.

The Innocent Simiyu coached side will be looking to finish in the top 10 after dropping to 12th in the standings after Paris 7s.

Kenya gained only one point as they went out in the 13th place in the hands of Russia where they now have 58 points as France leap-frogged them to move to 11 while Samoa sits 13th with 48 points.

Pool B is headlined by Paris 7s runner up Scotland, France, Argentina and relegation threatened Russia.

New Zealand, who have not won any cup in 2016/17 after a stellar performance in 2015/16, are in pool C alongside former series champions Fiji, Singapore 7s champions Canada and Japan.

England, who may finish third in the overall standings, are in pool D with improved Samoa, Australia and invitational side Spain.
