Kalasha is back – a little bigger and better than before.
What was once known in he industry as purely an awards ceremony, is now housed under the moniker ‘Kalasha International’ and brings under one roof a film festival, a Film & TV Awards and a Film & TV Market.
The week-long event will take place from the 16th to the 21st of October 2017 and is an initiative of the Kenya Film Commission.

The call for entries has been made – and it’s down to you to answer it – with a single stipulation: films and programs submitted must have at least a Kenyan producer, Kenyan director, Kenyan cast or crew to qualify; the East African category being the only exception.
: All productions developed from October 2015 to date can qualify, while all TV entries must have been on air for at least seven episodes before December 2016.
Film entries should not have entered for the Kalasha Film & TV Awards previously.
