After a long period of silence, Just A Band is finally back.
The Nairobi-based experimental pop trio released “Winning in Life” over Souncloud yesterday, giving listeners a first glimpse of the band’s upcoming and as of yet unnamed fourth studio album. And it is already evident that the new album will be something quite out of the ordinary.
Produced by Blinky Bill, the single is permeated by ambient grooves and virtuous trumpet licks blown by acclaimed Kenyan trumpet player Owuor Arunga.
While the proud DIY band is keeping all information about the upcoming album secret, it is safe to say that if it features more songs like “Winning in Life,” we are all in for a treat.
