For the past few days, award-winning artist Juliani’s name has been associated with Raila Odinga’s Azimio coalition.
According to the grapevine, it was alleged that the superstar had been appointed the role of Director of Entertainment in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader, Raila Odinga.
Through his official Twitter page, Juliani posted a statement terming the rumours as untrue and baseless.
“It has been brought to my attention that there is information circulating online about my appointment as Director of Entertainment in the Azimio – OKA coalition. I would like to clarify that this has not been communicated to me formally or otherwise. Therefore, I would like to confirm that I am not employed or affiliated with any political party in Kenya or beyond,” his statement read in part.
Juliani then went ahead to offer his services to any like-minded party during this election period.
“I am willing to join hands with like-minded partners including political parties that have a clear manifesto and agenda focusing primarily on sustainable youth empowerment initiatives.”
Netizens had alleged that the reason Alfred Mutua departed from Azimio was after Juliani’s entry, which has been proven to be misinformation.
