Jua Cali Speaks on His Retirement from Music Industry

Kenyan music icon Jua Cali addressed rumors and speculations about his potential retirement from the music industry.

The celebrated artist, known for his vibrant contributions to the genge music scene, in a Facebook post made it clear that he has no intentions of stepping back from his passion for creating music and entertaining his fans.

This declaration comes as a reassurance to his followers and the music community that his journey in music is far from over.

“I manifested in my song ‘Bidii Yangu’ that I will sing until I am 100 years old. I just released a new song and some people are surprised, ‘Wow, the old man still has the energy to release songs!!’ As long as I breathe, I will continue to entertain, with God ahead,” he said.

Jua Cali, whose real name is Paul Julius Nunda, has been a formidable presence in the Kenyan music industry for over two decades. His influence and contributions have not only shaped the genge genre but also inspired numerous upcoming artists. Known for his distinctive style and lyrical prowess, Jua Cali’s music has resonated with fans across generations.

Since his debut album “JuacaliSekta” in 2006, Jua Cali has consistently released groundbreaking projects, including “Ngeli ya Genge” in 2008 and “TuGenge Yajayo”.
