On Sunday, May 8 Citizen TV Presenter Lulu Hassan threw her husband Rashid Abdalla a suprise birthday party and among the acts was Singer Jovial.
The Singer perfomed her hits including Jeraha at the presenters 40th birthday party.
Jovial has however been on the receiving end of critisms from social media users who deemed her perfomance and dance with Rashid Abdalla inappropriate.
Jovial’s Response to Social Media Backlash
Responding to the backlash on her Instagram, the singer clarified the perfomance was strictly work.
“The insults on the trending video of me at work …” She commented
The singer added the critics were coming from a place of insurities “on an innocent act!”
“The couple are my bosses those who know the series know better.” She wrote.
“I’m an entertainer and I was doing my job!” She added.
The singer also revealed She was well reimbursed for the gig, writing;
“Btw I was paid very good money!”

Media personality Lulu Hassan also took to social media to praise Jovial’s perfomance at her husbands 40th birthday.
“I can’t thank you enough, you are destined for greatness.” She wrote
“Apart from being your bosses we are your number one fans.” She added.
Lulu Hassan rated Jovial’s vocals, perfomance and presence all at 100.
