Joho Funded Masauti’s Song with Tanasha: He Paid For Everything

Mombasa singer Masauti has revealed that his Governor, Hassan Joho, paid Ksh 800,000 to ensure the singer finishes his “Liar” song.

Masauti recently revealed that working with Tanasha to release the top hit was really frustrating him, especially financially, until Joho came into the picture and dropped almost a million shillings to ensure he completes the project.

“Joho has played a big role in my music career and he is actually the one who paid for all my music videos off my EP,” he said in a radio interview recently.

“It would have been tough for me and may God bless him. He does such things because he loves music, he has helped so many artists in Mombasa.”

The singer went on to reveal that Joho has been a good friend and that’s how he got the support.

“I usually chat with Joho via Whatsapp and one day while I was in Mombasa I checked on him but he was in Nairobi then,”¬†Masauti said.

“He told me he really needed to talk to me but he will look for me when he gets back to Mombasa. When he came we shared a meal and asked how he would help me and that is when I told him that I was struggling to finance my music videos.”

Masauti has a new EP out dubbed “001”.
