TV and Radio Presenter Joey Muthengi taken a break from her afternoon show on Capital FM.
Muthengi, who hosts “The Jam984” with Martin Kariuki, took to social media to make the announcement saying that she needs a break from radio but wasn’t clear whether she’s leaving Capital FM or not. She however hinted that she might be returning for a hip-hop show.
“I just want to thank you all so much for embracing me on @thejam984 on @CapitalFMKenya,” she said.
“I will no longer be on that particular show but your support has meant the world to me. I need to take a break for now but I will be back n better as soon as I can. Hip Hop Heads unite!”
Muthengi’s journey at Capital FM started with her hosting the now-defunct Hits Not Homework after taking over from Eve Dsouza from 2009-2013.

She then left the station for Citizen TV where she worked for a few years before being forced to resign after clashing with management following a betting advertisement.
Her announcement also comes less than two weeks after Amina Abdi, who hosted the Breakfast Show alongside Fareed Khimani, silently left the station.
