Joey Muthengi Returns To Capital FM, Ends Cess Mutungi’s 10-Year Run

30 May of 2019 by

Capital FM is yet again making changes to its radio roaster. Cess Mututngi, who has hosted the Jam for 10 years now, is set to be replaced by Joey Muthengi.

Muthengi will be making a comeback on Capital FM six years after leaving the station where she used to host hip hop show Hits Not Homework.

Mutungi, who will officially end her run on Friday, 31 May, thanked her fans for the support on social media. She has been hosting the show alongside Maqbul Mohammed.

It’s not yet clear where she’s headed but different sources have pointed out that she might be tasked with hosting Capital FM’s late night show.

Muthengi return on the hand comes 10 months after resigning at Citizen TV following her endorsement with betting company Betin.

A few weeks after resigning, she landed another job at Voice of America (VOA) – a US government-funded international radio broadcast with its headquarters in Washington DC, where she started her career as an intern almost 20 years ago.
