Renown Kenyan journalist and talk show host Jeff Koinange has tested positive for Coronavirus.
The Citizen TV media personality took to social media to announce his status and keep his fans up to date with his condition. He has announced that he still has no symptoms and he is in self-isolation recovering.
“Folks, just to let you know, I have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19. I’m doing Good..NO symptoms…and my Family is fine. All my close contacts have been informed. Right now I’m in self isolation. Many thanks to Royal Media Services Management for its Support. Stay SAFE & God Bless!” wrote Jeff Koinange.
This comes after another Citizen TV anchor, Stephen Oloo, tested positive for the disease.
“I did not have any signs and even now I don’t have any signs. I am fine and I have my appetite like before. You might even think that I am pretending,” said Stephen Letoo.
This comes just a few hours after another member of the Royal Media Services fraternity Charles Bukeko aka Papa Shirandula was laid to rest after complications arising from COVID-19.
Papa Shirandula died a day ago in Nairobi. His brother-in-law Ronald Wanyama said he experienced difficulty in breathing before he was rushed to the Karen Hospital.
“It is sad he didn’t make it out of the hospital alive. He had tested positive for Covid-19. We are devastated,” he said.
His fellow actors were among mourners who accompanied the body from Nairobi in two buses.
The actors, led by Jacky Nyaminde popularly known as ‘Wilbroda’ and who played his wife in the TV comedy show Papa Shirandula, eulogised him as a father, a mentor and promoter of talents
