11-year-old Shanah Manjeru is a Gospel artiste to watch out for this year. The bubbly singer oozes tons of confidence and enthusiasm. Her young music career boasts of over 5 singles some of which include: God will Listen, We Are One and Winner and her latest release Worship among others.
Her unique sound which edges more on Rock music has earned her fans across the country. She recently bagged a Groove Award 2019 nomination in the Young Groover Award Category where she will be competing against other young stars such as Amani G and Praise Makena among others. Last year, Shanah’s song Winner earned her a Kenya Gospel Music 2018, Song of The Year Award.
Shanah is a versatile artist as she is also a dancer, acrobat, model and gymnastic. She is also a great live performer and has performed in many functions such as school events, churches, concerts, birthday parties, weddings and television Sunday Gospel shows. Her star continues to shine and last year, she was featured in a tour and travel piece by BBC and also in Kenya’s Vision 2030 documentary.
Her supportive parents have held her hand through this journey and she says that in future wants to be either a doctor, a singer, a dancer, a gymnast, or a teacher. Only God knows the plans He has for her, but one thing is certain, music will always be a big part of her life.
