Internet sensation and funnybone Elsa Majimbo has been nominated for the prestigious E! People’s Choice Award for African Social Star 2020.
This makes her the first Kenyan comedian to be nominated for such a huge award. She has been nominated alongside the likes of Zonzi Tunzi and Sho Madjozi among others.
Elsa announced the big news on her social media pages asking for fans to vote for her to bring the crown home.
“I am so excited and shocked to announce that I have been nominated E! Peoples Choice Awards in the category of African Social Star. While I don’t know how I got here so quickly, what I do know is I wouldn’t have gotten here without all of your support. So please continue to show me your support by voting for me with up to 25 votes a day,” she wrote.

Elsa’s year has been on an upward trajectory despite the coronavirus pandemic. Through her funny Instagram skits and chips, she has caught the eye of many international stars including Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o.
