In Pictures: Koroga Festival 2015

The 8th edition of Koroga Festival held on last Sunday 23rd August, was headlined by South African House Band Mi Casa , Suzanna Owiyo and Webi with DJ Protégé on the decks. Amid numerous sponsor announcements by MC’s Amina and Wanjira, that irritated some people, the main show was totally worth it for three main reasons.

Firstly, Trace Music Star Webi showcased his new music and had people falling in love as he crooned on stage.

Secondly, along with her amazing band, Suzanna Owiyo brought the house down with old favourites including ‘Kisumu 100’ and her latest hit dance song ‘Wamiel’. Suzanna Owiyo is and always will be Queen.

Thirdly, Mi Casa had the entire venue turned up!

J’Something the vocalist and guitarist, Mo T the Trumpeter and Dr. Duda the Producer and Keyboardist electrified the audience. They played all their popular tracks including ‘These Streets’ and ‘Heavenly sent’. Midway through their set, Sauti Sol jumped on stage to announce a major collaboration between the two bands that will appear on Mi Casa’s new album; ’Home Sweet Home’ and gave us a little sneak peak of the project.

Mi Casa’s new album ‘Home Sweet Home’ is set for release later this year.
