Showmax held an exclusive screening event for the highly anticipated second season of Kyallo Kulture on Friday, 19th May at the prestigious Radisson Blu in Upper Hill. In attendance was a star-studded guest list including the Kyallo sisters – Betty, Mercy, and Gloria and their mother, Julia.

The delightful evening’s host was the charismatic Homeboyz presenter Lotan Salapei. Apart from the sisters, Kyallo Kulture’s executive producer, Eugene Mbugua, the production team, press, and influencers were also present.




As promised, Kyallo Kulture season two continues to follow the sisters’ individual journeys while exploring their sibling bond. The central theme of the season revolves around the sisters’ next moves as the sisters relearn each other. Viewers can expect an engaging and emotional exploration of their personal growth and the challenges they face.

Kyallo Kulture is produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios which is known for the record-breaking hit show, The Real Housewives of Nairobi (RHON) among others. The success of the first season of Kyallo Kulture paved the way for high expectations for its sequel. It garnered significant viewership in Kenya, ranking among the top 10 most-watched shows on Showmax in the country in 2022. Additionally, its popularity led to a nomination for Best TV Show at the prestigious 2022 Kalasha Awards.

During the premiere, Betty, one of the Kyallo sisters, expressed their excitement about the new season. “This will be a very successful season two because we have grown as young women. I’ve also grown as a mom and a business person,” intimated Betty. She also acknowledged feeling somewhat timid in the previous season but promised to be more vulnerable in the upcoming episodes.
Mercy whose journey takes the spotlight in season two, emphasized the special bond shared among the sisters. “Season one was tough for me; I had to rediscover myself and my sisters, and also find a new job. In season two, you will see me getting back in the groove of things,” she revealed. Mercy’s story promises to captivate audiences as she navigates through personal and professional challenges, rediscovering her identity along the way.
Lastly, Gloria, the youngest of the Kyallo sisters, expressed her enthusiasm for sharing more of her youth and experiences in the new season. However, she also acknowledged the difficulties of balancing filming schedules and school commitments. “The production team has been very supportive and understanding, working around my schedule to ensure I maintain good grades,” Gloria explained. Having her sisters by her side has been a source of support and motivation, pushing her to be the best version of herself.
