Beneath The Baobabs in Kilifi was the proud host to the several Kenyans who attended its highly esteemed live show over Easter. This venue sits on a 50-acre land at the edge of the Indian Ocean on the Kenyan coast.

The Easter edition of the event follows a successful live show that took place on New Year and attracted thousands of revelers. For this edition, the organizers had promised to serve yet another one-of-a-kind experience. And indeed, they lived up to the hype.
Beneath The Baobabs Live opened its gates on 16th April from 2 pm. Thousands of excited fans thronged the venue expecting a good time.

The entire setup was a beautiful masterpiece lined with colorful flags lights, murals, furniture, décor, etc.

Additionally, the picturesque Beneath The Baobabs Live setup had 2 stages i.e. The Twisted Fig and The Mijikenda Disco. Each of the stages had its own bar that served a variety of delicious drinks ranging from beer to craft cocktails.

What is a coast event without authentic coastal cuisine? Beneath The Baobabs’ menu sure had sumptuous coastal meals like Biryani, Mshikaki, Bhajia, and Viazi Karai among others. Moreover, the venue allowed interested attendees to camp at its vast camping site.
Yet another unique feature of this show was its futuristic cashless payments provided by fintech company Jastap. Each reveler was issued with an RFID wristband to load money onto. The wristbands were then used to pay for items within the concert with just a tap.

Performances
As promised, all the top Kenyan acts that were on Beneath The Baobabs Live’s impressive lineup, performed. The Mijikenda Disco was graced by top Coast musicians such as Simba Wanga, Mr. Bado, and Miss Ray.
