Hip hop and basketball are pretty much the perfect pairing. And it’s so great to see support for local and regional basketball from major brands in 2017. A sport that has on many occasions felt a little left out of the mix when it comes to funding and shine.
The Africa City Challenge courtesy of Kwese Sports TV – has been ongoing for a couple of days – and is set to culminate this Friday with a monster display of both sporting and musical talent. The 5-day sporting celebration features 6 teams from 6 different cities in East Africa – over 11 games to determine the champ.
And a celebration it will be.
Man of the moment Khaligraph Jones is set to deliver on stage alongside DJ Joe Mfalme at the Nyayo Stadium Indoor Arena.
Also on hand entertainment wise will be MC Samora.
Nairobi, Mogadishu, Juba, Kampala, Mombasa and Dar es Salaam all figure in the City Challenge, and are competing for cash prizes amounting to over Ksh 1.5 Million.
