Hennessy Partners With Octopizzo For Exclusive Album Listening Party

Rapper Octopizzo over the weekend held an exclusive Hennessy listening party for his album “Lamu Nights” at the Emara Ole Sereni in Nairobi.

The Kibera rapper partnered with luxury drink Hennessy for the event attended by key music industry and media players.

The ten-track album features artistes like Lisa Oduor, Wendy Kay, Jivu, Buruklyn Boyz, and Okello Max, among others. It was released in October 2022 on all streaming platforms.

Lamu nights is the sixth album from the rapper who has now released: Fuego, JUNGLE FEVER, LPDC, Refugeenius, and Next Year.

Speaking about the project, Octopizzo said that the project achieved more than expected and also thanked Hennesy for the sponsorship.

“This project has been a bigger success than I expected. The album’s reception is overwhelmingly positive, even though this is not a rap/hip-hop album like the previous ones; this is pure R&B and soul, and everyone is enjoying the music. It’s extremely satisfying. More positive vibes and experimental music is on the way,” he said.

Marketing Manager, Moet Hennessy, Gboyega Ogunfuye said that the project has proved to be creative, something that Hennesy looks for.

“Creativity has always been a crucial element of Hennessy’s DNA. We see it as a pure expression of freedom. That is why we have a long history of supporting artistic creativity. Hennessy has had a past and a definite future with music and will continue to provide a platform for artistes, blending music, talent, influences, and Cognac,” he said.
