Graffiti Artist Bankslave Showcases His Brilliance At Nyama Mama

Bankslave is the man behind most of the grafitti art you see around the city. CNN labeled him “the founding father of Kenyan grafitti art. Creating art is his way of expressing himself and for the last 16 or so years he has been using walls to show what’s inside his mind and heart.

Nyama Mama which has two main branches at Delta Towers in Westlands and a newer one at Capital Centre, Mombasa Road has invited the artiste for a residency between 25th and 27th March where he will be creating a 4meter installation inspired by Nairobi. The artist will be onsite at Delta Towers crafting and painting the canvas inspired by Nairobi culture which will be unveiled on Friday.

“In keeping with our culture of the community, we invite guests to pick up a paintbrush and sign their name on our Graffiti canvas and be a part of our NBO tribute. We also encourage patrons to share their pictures against our LOVENBO 2m sign and share the spirit of love and coming together.” Nyama Mama #LOVENBO
