Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has announced Battle of Choirs Competition set to take place in Nairobi.
According to a statement by Nairobi City Council powered by the Nairobi City Festival (NCF), the competition will take place during this year’s Easter celebrations.
Contestants will battle it out at the Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC).

Battle of the Choirs Easter Festival winners to take home 2 Million
According to Nairobi’s governor, the winning choir is set to take home 2 Million shillings.

“Do you think your church or religious institution choir is the best in Nairobi?
This Easter. The battle of Choirs is on!
The Winning choir gets 2 million Bob!! For the choir.”
Sharing more information on planning, Sakaja noted ….
“Planning is in high gear, let’s celebrate the season in style. This Easter, KICC, plus food, fun, and games for the kids. Vibe of the City,” Sakaja hyped the upcoming event.
According to the Governor, registration details for Battle of Choirs in Nairobi will be announced soon to allow competitors enough time to prepare.
The choir competition comes three months after the first Nairobi Festival was held at Uhuru Park in December 2022.
