December is here at last. Time to celebrate and wind up the year. There are lots of amazing gigs lined up this week, from fashion shows to concerts. Below is the weekly wrap up of the hottest weekend events:
Tribal Chic 2021
Kenya’s biggest fashion event Tribal Chic is back with a bang. The upcoming edition, which is its 11th is set to take place at the distinguished Tribe Hotel on 4th December 2021 – under the theme, One Tribe is Back. The action will be taking place at the Tribe Hotel on 4th December 2021 from 6 pm till 10 pm. Attendees will be treated to an amazing fashion showcase and a pop-up market just to mention a few. Gamba Games Launch
Sports Fitness entity Fitness Wars will be rebranding to Gamba Games in style at the Waterfront Karen on Saturday 4th December. The action will begin at 10 am and go all the way to 6 pm. Attendees will watch 10 Men and 10 women compete for the coveted Gamba Warrior title and KES 50,000 cash prize. The show will be hosted by media personality Willis Raburu. Entry is absolutely free.
Nairobi Art Walk
Art lovers will get a special treat at the Nairobi Art Walk this Saturday 4th December 2021 at Nabo Bistro. Various artists will be showcasing their art in a curated exhibition that allows art enthusiasts to view, enjoy and purchase art. Gates will open from midday. Tickets are available here.
Strokes and Sip
Unboxed will be hosting the 5th edition of the Strokes and Sips at the Karen Gardens on Saturday 4th December from midday till 10 pm. The organizers are promising a ton of fun activities such as live painting, graffiti, drawing, music, and games. Click here to get your tickets.
Firimbi Nation 2 – Jamhuri Edition
Paradise Garden along Kiambu Road will open its doors for the 2nd edition of the Firimbi Nation show on Saturday 4th December 2021. Set to commence at 11 am, its stage will be graced by Willy Paul, Wakadinali, Boutrous and Cartoon 47. The decks will be manned by King Mellow, DJ UV, DJ Lisney, DJ Cibin, DJ Amm, Ernestoh, Geejoh, and Kay Wachira. The dress code is Kitenge or a touch of the Kenyan flag colors. London DJ and Sondela Record Label Records director Sef Kombo will be live at the Muze club, Westlands on Saturday 4th December. Sef will be playing the finest of House music. Food And Fashion Brunch
Great meals and exquisite fashion will be served hot at Mawimbi Sea Food Restaurant and cafe on Sunday 5th December. Hosted by Glam By Cess, the show will be hosted by media personalities Kalekye Mumo and Jeff Mote. Gates open from midday all the way till 4 pm. Attendees will be treated to a delicious eat & drink all you can buffet among other fun stuff. The dress code is Dress to Impress and the entry fee is KES 4,500.
