Frankie’s Viral Campaign “UGLYTRUTH” Draws Mixed Reactions From Netizens

Nutritionist and personal cross-body trainer Frankie Kiarie, popularly known as Justgymit went viral after posting a photo of himself holding a placard along a highway that read, “LOOK AT YOUR STOMACH ARE YOU HAPPY.”

This is a marketing campaign for his fitness business.

He captioned the post on his Instagram “UGLY TRUTH 01!

It read, “Abdominal obesity can have causes that aren’t due to underlying disease. Examples include diet, sedentary lifestyle or alcohol use. The rate at which we are having young people getting lifestyle diseases is alarming.”

He broke down the risks of excess belly fat, and signed off the post with a message, “My aim is to spread awareness on fitness, nutrition and above all health, especially within the youth. Preventive measures trump curative measures.”

Recently he posted part two of his Campaign.

He captioned, UGLY TRUTH 02

“Back with another tough pill to swallow! Slimming teas are often advertised as a way to lose weight and cleanse the body. The theory is that the tea stimulates digestion, aids metabolism and in some cases rids the body of impurities.”

“However, there is substantial lack of evidence to support the claims that Slimming tea affects weight loss. The body naturally rids itself of toxins. (That’s why you have Kidneys) making the tea claims to do this unnecessary.”

He listed the harmful effects of the ingredients in Slimming tea and or the side effects.

Frankie’s Viral Campaign draws mixed reactions.

Yvonne Darcq responded in approval “Very good information, stating health facts.”

However, Dr. Njoki Ngumi Was less than impressed she Tweeted, “I guess Misogynist marketing to women in this hellscape is a strategy that works for some. God be with those who must use service providers who don’t take them, their entire demographic, or any of their challenges seriously.”
