Former Tatuu Singer Angela Ndambuki has been appointed as the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) Regional Director for Sub-Saharan Africa. The newly opened office based in Nairobi will cover the 46 countries in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
IFPI is an organization that represents the rights of the recorded music industry worldwide. Its new Nairobi office will be headed by the appointed Regional Director, Angela Ndambuki, who will work to promote the economic and cultural value of recorded music, advocate for the rights of record producers and expand the commercial uses of recorded music.
Ms Ndambuki who is a blend of beauty and brains has worked as a corporate executive and is a respected intellectual property lawyer. She was a member of the popular girl band Tatuu, alongside Shinde Mwandanda and Debbie Asila. Tatuu was famous for songs such as Teso and Jua La Nyesha.
