Budding media personality Charlie Karumi has officially joined Homeboyz radio from NRG Radio.
Mr Karumi took to his social media pages to announce the big news on his first day on air with radio personality G-Money.
“Haiyaaaa!! Kwani mko?? It’s my FIRST DAY ON AIR on Homeboyz Radio with @gmoneyizme!! You HAVE to tune in and support this fresher! 😄 103.5 on the FM, online everywhere!!,” an excited Karumi wrote.
Before him, former NRG presenter and comedian Ronoh also had a brief stint at Homeboyz radio alongside G-Money.
Thousands of congratulatory messages have swarmed in for Karumi on this big move including Willis Raburu and Pascal Tokodi.
This comes a few months after G-Money’s ex colleagues and co-show presenters Shaffie Weru, Neville Musya and Dj Joe Mfalme were fired from the station over gross misconduct. Basically, the trio deemed themselves sympathizers of gener-based violemce and insinuated that women were the cause, at the expense of the radio station.
In a statement dated March 27, the media house stated that the decision was reached after a comprehensive review of the comments made on the station’s Thursday morning show, adding that the topic in discussion was neither approved nor authorised by the management.
