Barcelona’s former captain Sergio Busquets jetted into the country over the weekend for his post-season holidays.
The Spanish international was spotted with his family taking photos with locals at the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
The 34-year-old left Spanish giants Barcelona at the end of the season after successfully clinching their 27th La Liga title.
Busquets spent the holiday with his wife Elena Galera together with their two sons; Enzo Busquests and Levi Busquets.
The soccer champion has not disclosed his next move after leaving Spain’s La Liga but has been linked to Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami as well as several clubs in Saudi Arabia.
During his spell at Barcelona, he won 9 La Liga titles, 3 Champions League titles, and several domestic cups.
He was also part of the Spanish national team that won the Fifa World Cup in 2010 and Uefa European Championships 2012.
Busquets joins a long list of celebrities who have visited the country on vacation. Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki, and former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor have all travelled to Kenya within the past year.
Reports have linked him with a possible reunion with Lionel Messi, who recently signed with MLS side Inter Miami.
