African 100m Record Holder Ferdinand Omanyala for the second time in a week set a 60m national record.

Tipping off a hundredth of a second off his own record at Lievin World Indoor Tour meet in France, the sprinting sensation clocked 6.54secs.

The 27-year-old crossed the finish line first ahead of 2020 Olympics champion Marcell Jacobs.

The Lievin World Indoor Tour meet win is Omanyala’s third big win in his France indoor tour.

On Wednesday 8th February 2023 Omanyala crossed the finish line at Mondeville Athletics Meeting in a national record time of 6.55 seconds.

The Trackstar who’s completed his France tour return home motivated and confident as the outdoor season Kicks off.

The first leg of the outdoor season Kicks off in Nairobi’s Kenya Weekend meet at Nyayo stadium from 24th to 25th February.
