Kenya’s dance sensation group FBI (Focus Beyonce Imagination) put on a great performance at the World Hip-Hop Dance Competition in Phoenix Arizona to emerge top 10.
The team of 10 was the only group representing Africa at the world stage competing against 50 countries. This was the 3rd time in the competition where their dynamic performance garnered them global recognition.
The crew received a boost from the Kenya Film Classification Board in terms of airfare payments. Deputy President William Ruto donated a million shillings as well to help the crew travel.
KFCB Chairman Ezekiel Mutua congratulated the crew via social media and he said, “We are so proud of you. You have lifted Kenya’s flag at a global stage with pride and dignity, and without compromising our culture”.
KFCB states it will endeavour to support talent groups from the grassroots and create jobs in a bit to get the youth active.
