Last Sunday, Kenyan fashion lovers and supporters were brought together at The Social House by two other fashion and lifestyle brands Ikojn and Couture Africa. The event was also supported by EABL who served up some cocktails and had some stylish bars that added to the glitz and glam of the event.
Ikojn who are also now retailing at the hotel had their pieces on display and we also got to see a blown-up version of the upcoming “comeback” print issue of Couture Africa Magazine.
“We are excited to get back to print after a long hiatus during and after the COVID-19 Pandemic. I believe there is still room for print in the East African market, more so for specialty publications, and this partnership with IKOJN is a fabulous way to get back into the market.” Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Olive Gachara noted.

The pop-up shall continue to be available at The Social House and shall stock exclusive limited edition collections only available at the hotel.
Established in 2015, IKOJN is the complete epitome of sensual femininity and ladylike strength. The brand focuses on telling cultural tales through design to the world in the form of impeccable construction and manicured tailoring, all the while building the continent and its fashion industry.

The Social House garden and adjacent event space were transformed to be worthy of the fashion content and filled with fashion and beauty preneurs, celebrities, media, content creators, and influencers from across the board mingling as they snacked, sipped, and shopped.

It was a great opportunity for attendees to interact with the brands and learn more about their vision and mission as well as the latest moves they are making.
Couture Africa Magazine which is now in its 9th year of publishing will be available in June both in print all over East Africa and via the Issuu Digital Magazine Newsstand. The platform also runs the online content platform, www.mycouture.africa, and they just launched YouTube Channel, COUTURE Africa TV. The team also puts together fashion events such as the Couture Style Awards.
