Fally Ipupa Lights Up Nairobi

Fally Ipupa’s Tokooos Tour concert finally went down at Uhuru Gardens this past Saturday night. The Rhumba themed event had its stage graced by Kenyan legendary hit makers such as Freshly Mwamburi, Les Wanyika who wowed the revelers with some of their classic hits such as ‘Afro’ and ‘Sina Makosa’ ‘Stella Wangu’ among others.

The Gogo Simo band was also on the lineup, led by James Gogo who set the stage on fire with an electrifying performance backed up by legendary dancer Kanda King alongside other dancers: Lady Tasha, The Prince and Fifi Moto. The MC Fred Obachi Machoka who calls himself, ‘The blackest man in Africa’ hyped the show very well introducing each performer with vigor.

The man of the night Fally Ipupa finally hit the stage to the raw delight of the fans. He performed hits from his Tokooos Album which is his fourth solo album and also other hits such as Chaise Electrique. Tokooos album is a smooth blend of the typical Congolese music in a rather slow tempo. It contains 18 tracks and has collaborations with artistes such as Wizkid. This was not the first time that Fally Ipupa was visiting Kenya as he was in the country last year where he thrilled his Kenyan fans with his energy on stage.
