Exciting Date Ideas To Up The Romance

Most of the time coming up with cute date ideas that are different and fun can be as difficult as finding someone to date in the first place. Hey, it’s 2023. It’s fine to date yourself. I am here to confirm that solo dates are a HUGE thing. And if you’re anything like me, your couch has a you-shaped imprint in it from all of the quality time you’re spending together. But I’m trying to change by being more extroverted – catch me outside!

Here are some of my favourite date ideas to try out.

Outdoor Movie Date
When was the last time you went for one? Chances are, it hasn’t been for a while or ever. The good thing is K1Klubhouse offers a free classic movie screening every Monday. And yes, there’s happy hour on every cocktail.

Play tourist in your hometown
If you haven’t been to the Nairobi National Park with your significant other and been one with nature wink* am judging you. If you have, now it’s time to take things a notch higher. Air balloon services offers flight tours across Nairobi- that’s from Two Rivers Mall to Uhuru Park with full breakfast served after the flight. And the views are amazing. Try it.

Game Night
Hide and Go seek is not just for kids. If you know… you know. So how about we step out of these four walls and venture outside? Couple’s game nights are like the ultimate group date. If you need help coming up with new games to play on your next game night, I’ve got a few ideas for you. Bao Box Nairobi- Board Game Restaurant, Hepa Escape Room at Thika Road Mall, Escape Room Kenya, The Arena at Two Rivers and Indoor Gaming at Village Market.

Fine Dining Experience
When I think of fine dining, I visualize myself being chauffeur driven to Wilson Airport. Whisked onto a helicopter ride for an evening tour of the city. Then landing at Tribe Hotel to experience delicacies at Jiko Restaurant. But this thing called budget can really humble a person’s delusions. Back to reality, how about we hire a chef to cook our favourite meals at home, on a budget?
