It’s back and claims that this time, will be bigger than the last.
The Groove Awards are one of the biggest on the Kenyan calendar, and the 13th season is officially here.
Here are a few fast facts about the activity set to take place over the next few weeks:
The Gospel centered “Groove Camp” will be held this week – 23rd May, bringing together various artists from across the country, as Gospel industry stakeholders – it’s the point in which artists spend time in mentorship, as well as bonding sessions.
It prefaces the Road to the Groove Awards – a culmination of a number of events including Nomination, Voting and Tours.
And this year, members of the public will be part of the nomination process unlike previous years where they have just been involved in the voting process.
Nominations open from the 24th -31stMay, through the Groove website.
The public will then again have a chance to vote for their favorite nominees at the Awards Gala slated for the 23rd of next month.
Held annually in both Kenya as well as Rwanda, Groove honours outstanding excellence in the Gospel Music Industry in the areas of Music, Production, Song Writing and Media.
