Eric Omondi Buys Maxy’s Lounge worth Ksh. 18M

Comedian Eric Omondi has announced he has taken ownership of Maxy’s Lounge.

Speaking at the Club, the self-proclaimed ‘President of Comedy in Africa said he decided to venture into Maxy’s Lounge after turning 40 years.

Omondi said he wants to kill the culture of Artists becoming popular and eventually borrowing when their spotlight fades away.

“There has been a culture of artists coming up and fizzling out and end up putting a Paybill number for payouts.

We want to get rid of that culture.”

“Artists do not invest and I’ve decided to open my own business since I have turned 40.” He said.

Sharing the news on Instagram as well, Omondi also wrote;

“Today  I start a new journey as a club owner … I will ask for your support as friends, fans, supporters and family in this new venture.

I have officially taken ownership of Maxy’s Lounge Isiolo road.

We will be renovating for 35 day in preparation for our official launch in October.”

He added;

“This will be Nairobi’s HOTTEST Entertainment Spot.”

Eric who used to manage one of his mother’s three Restaurants said he understands the business intricacies of Restaurants and Bars because of that history.

Maxy’s to Host Talent Night on Tuesday

Eric Omondi said every Tuesday will be a talent night at Maxy’s and Thursdays will host artists.

Talent night is meant to encourage up and coming artists and comedians.

“Redsan, Wyre, Nameless and Nonini were born Florida 2000, just a normal club, and that’s where the industry was born.” He said.
