Gengetone Festival, an event that brings together the biggest Gengetone artists from all over the country, on one stage, is scheduled to take place on 31st October 2020 at the Machakos Peoples Park. Gates will open from 10 am all the way till 9 pm.
With a formidable and impressive lineup of stars such as Sailors Gang, Ssaru, Ochunglo Family, Jua Cali, Willis Raburu, Mbogi Genje, Boondocks Gang, Zzero Sufuri, Nuclear, Ethic Entertainment, Shay Diva, Maima, Fatboy Gwaash, Wakali Wao, and Kartelo, the organizers are promising to deliver a one-of-a-kind show. On the decks will be seasoned DJs VDJ Jones, DJ Ernesto, and DJ Amm.
Gengetone festival CEO Mtetei Mtetezi, ha awhile back called on His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta to ease the COVID-19 restrictions, as artists were facing financial constraints due to the reduced access to shows. The organizers of this festival which was earlier scheduled to take place in April this year, have assured attendees that COVID-19 health regulations will be adhered to. The event will only admit persons above 18 years old.
