But now we know why she’s here. The British singer – who famously dated Ed Sheeran a few years ago – has been named a UNEP Ambassador.
She’s signed onto the role as Global Goodwill Ambassador, joining the fight to save the lives and habitats of people and animals by cleaning up our air and seas, fighting climate change and protecting species.
She says that her focus will be on amplifying the activism of young people committed to creating a bright future.
The 30-year-old has visited the Giraffe Manor as well as the Maasai Mara to learn more about the threats facing wildlife as a result of habitat loss.
UNEP is hosting a high level conference in Gigiri this week – although I’m not too sure you’ll find tickets for sale.
