The April Issue of international sports magazine GQ features none other than the legendary Eliud Kipchoge. The record shattering athlete is professionally styled head to toe in funky and different looks giving us a whole other impression of him.
“For the April issue of GQ, we flew to @EliudKipchoge’s ultra-rarefied Kenyan training ground to meet the man who pulled off the impossible,” GQ.
Eliud is dripping in designer brands such as Fendi, Issey Miyake, Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo and as expected Nike. The styling is done by Mobolaji Dawodu and tailoring by Stephen Otieno Ounga. Assisting in production were two Kenyans Ian Aketch and Raphael Kioko.

The interview done in Iten by Knox Robinson and photographed by Fanny Latour-Lambert focuses on Eliud’s latest phenomenal superhuman achievement INEOS 1:59.
Knox who is a runner who lives in Brooklyn follows Kipchoge through training and takes a glimpse into his daily life including his library followed by a conversation about the athlete’s life philosophies and career.

Kipchoge killed the spread and it was definitely a treat seeing him in a different light. Kenyans seem to be mad at this tweet by GQ that left out Kipchoge’s name while tweeting about the feature. Most Kenyans, however, appreciated the images of the celebrated sports personality and shared the images with positive remarks.
