East African Breweries Limited Marks 100th Birthday: Photos

East African Breweries Limited (EABL) marked its 100th birthday in pomp and color. The centenary anniversary took place at the Ivory Burning Site, in the Nairobi National Park with a 3-day jamboree that came to a climax on Friday 20th May 2022.

Elated about this important milestone, EABL Marketing Manager for Beers, Jean Okech-Nyawara, noted, “Now that we have gotten ourselves into this exclusive category of brands, not only Kenya but also globally, the only way is up. We will continue to reinvent ourselves in the next century, guided by the dynamic needs of our consumers, suppliers and our goals for the next century.”

The glitzy affair was graced by some of Kenya’s top celebrities and influencers, EABL staff, media, and consumers. From music and dance to drama, this was the ultimate celebration. Moreover, this birthday had a stupendous artist lineup of East Africa’s highly sought-after artists and DJs. They include Sauti Sol, Nameless, Aslay, Chris Kaiga, Azawi, and DJ Joe Mfalme among others.

Additionally, top thespians such as Ian Mbugua and Carol Radul performed an intriguing narration of EABL’s history.

Apart from the good music, revelers had plenty and a variety of amazing meals. There were also cocktails, and drinks from EABL brands such as Tusker, Guinness, Tanqueray, Johnnie Walker, etc.

Over its 100 years of existence, East African Breweries Limited has taken pride in supporting the arts. This is through flagship projects such as Tusker Project Fame, Oktoba Fest, Tusker Football Club, and its most recent, Tusker Nexters to mention a few.

East African Breweries Limited has cemented itself as a regional corporate and business leader. Through it, East Africa has witnessed some of the biggest, most iconic brands in the region and in Africa. Turning 100 years old is no mean feat, hence the celebration continues for the rest of 2022.
