Duo Mankind Re-energizes Kenyan Music Scene With New Style And Sound

It’s been quite a minute since the Kenyan music industry’s mainstream got a different sound. Kenyans mostly focus on a few genres which are highly consumed by the masses.

Mankind however, are bringing something a little bit different on the table.

Brian Ochieng and Eugene Okumu who teamed up to form Mankind have released their new song “Take and Go”, a song that brings the Retro pop, space jam funk style into play and gives a breath of fresh air.

The two, who have been signed under Pine Creek Records for three million Kenyan shillings, also have a publishing deal with Sony Africa. Their latest single has been produced by Pine Creek’s founder and CEO Peter Nduati while the visuals were courtesy of Enos Olik and TrueBlaq Limited.
