Dos And Don’ts For Anyone Partying In Naivasha This Weekend

With the Nairobi party scene taking a break and traffick heading to Naivasha this weekend thanks to the World Rally Championship, party dos and don’ts will also be different since it’s a new environment.

Naivasha is about to be crowded with revealers who will party the whole weekend.

While a majority are there to have a good time genuinely, some are in Naivasha for sinister plots which may result in injuries and life-threatening traumas.

Therefore you can’t just party with anyone anyhow. You need to be careful.

Below are some dos and don’ts that will ensure you are safe in Naivasha over the weekend.

1. Stay with your close friends

Avoid new crowds and faces you have never met especially in confined spaces. Stick to your crew and have fan with them. These reduces such things as rape cases, robbery and even getting lost.

2. Watch your food and drinks

Don’t let just anyone near your stuff. You might get drugged, robbed off or even poisoned in the process.

3. Don’t let peer pressure sway you into doing anything you don’t want to do. It’s okay to say no.

4. Leave for somewhere safe if you feel unsafe at a venue or party.

5. Cram a number that you might call in case your phone goes off

In case of an emergency, have that number of someone nearby that will come over quickly enough to help you.

6. Don’t go with him/her his/her tent that you have no idea where is located.

7. Use protection no matter what.

8. Random plots are fun, but learn when to say no

Don’t just keep saying yes to everything. Be ready to push back and say no whenever it doesn’t make sense.

9. Put some money aside for emergency

Don’t use all your cash on drinks and food forgetting that an emergency might hit you. Pray for the best but stay ready for the worst.

10. Watch your alcohol intake

Mind your intake of alcohol understanding that you are in Naivasha for a weekend, not a day. The last thing you want is to blackout in the middle of nowhere filled with wild animals and all other kind of dangers.

11. Stay hydrated

The easiest to find yourself in hospital is by not drinking water. Take as much water as you can to keep your body functioning.
