Discover Tsavo with Barack Obama In New Docu-Series, ‘Our Great National Parks’

It’s no secret Barack Obama ails from Kenya, and the former president is exploring his homeland on ‘Our Great National Parks’.

Mr Obama shared insights into the docu-series, writing;

“Our Great National Parks is out today on Netflix, and I can’t wait for you to watch it.

This series takes a look at the legacy of preservation and conservation, as well as the ways we can protect our amazing wildlife and natural landscapes.”

The former President noted he is also working with the Wildlife Conservation Society to encourage folks to take action to conserve the environment and wildlife.

Our Great National Parks

Narrated by Barack Obama Our Great National Parks is an epic five-part series.

The documentary shines the spotlight on some of the planet’s most spectacular national parks including Kenya’s Tsavo.

Tsavo National Park

The former President recounts travelling to Kenya over 30 years ago, visiting his family in the village and for the first time going on Safari.

He explores Tsavo National Park, home to Kenya’s largest elephant population as well as Rhinos, Hippopotamus, Big Cats, primates and other wildlife.

As described by Obama Tsavo is; “A wilderness of boundless space, breathtaking beauty and wildlife on an epic scale.”

National Parks

The show gives Tsavo, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Gunung Leuser an extensive coverage on exclusive episodes.

The documentary also explores other national parks including; Tsingy The Bamaraha on the Islands of Madagascar, Hanauma Bay In Hawaii and Loango in Gabon.

Rwanda’s Volcanoes, Yellowstone in Western United States, Manuel Antonio in Costa Rica, Australia’s Kakadu and Chilean Patagonia are also featured on the Netflix Series.
