Design Intelligence Award (DIA) is calling for submissions for its 2022 edition. The award which takes pride in being the first international academic award seeks to celebrate exceptional design innovators and entrepreneurs.
Organized by the prestigious China Academy of Art, this annual award offers several cash prizes to winners. In addition, it also provides a platform to accelerate international trade, increase connectivity and open up commercial opportunities for designers.
Under the theme of Design Collaboration, Design Intelligence Award 2022 aims to link designers around the world to explore collaboration and sustainability in the post-COVID era. For this edition, there are cash prizes of up to ¥ 1,000,000.
Submission Rules
According to DIA, submissions are acceptable in either of the 2 categories. First is Product Group – This entails the design of products that have been commercially available for less than 2 years or unlaunched products with prototypes or samples.
The second category is Concept Group. This is for design ideas from all industries and sectors. For this category, cross-border innovations have an additional advantage. The entries should represent future trends and provide physical prototypes or videos that explain the conceptual ideas.
Apart from the categories, the rules further stipulate that individuals, enterprises, universities/colleges, and institutions are eligible to participate. Submitted applications will be reviewed in the preliminary evaluation. Consequently, applications that have been approved by the Design Intelligence Award Committee, will directly enter the final evaluation stage.
The entries will be classified according to core innovation points that include Cultural Innovation, Life Wisdom, Industrial Equipment, and Digital Economy. Are you up to the challenge?
