Ever since I was young(er), I’ve known that Chocolate and Valentine’s Day always go together- I blame my dad. My sister and I would get a Cadbury’s chocolate bar and a rose on the day just before he took my mum out for dinner or some other Valentine’s treat. Chocolate. Valentine’s. I know this. And so does DusitD2.
The annual D’Chocolate Festival is on for the second time around, and just in time for Valentine’s too. From the 11th to the 14th of February, DusitD2 will feature a Chocolate Buffet menu, Devarana Spa Chocolate wrap, a Valentine’s Day special four course dinner as well as Valentine’s Day Stay package.
For each of the four nights, from the 11th, you get to indulge in a chocolate romance, with an original buffet menu sampling single origin chocolates from Sao Tome, Madagascar, Brazil and Ecuador regions courtesy of the hotel’s new pastry head chef, Anis Mouldi.
With over 40 new and the latest chocolate designs that include warm chocolate fondant, chocolate tablet, pralines, chocolate mandiant, chocolate waffles, chocolate mousse, choux, chocolate entremets, chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! Everything handmade mind you, this really is a decadent chocolate affair!

The dinner at their SOKO restaurant on Valentine’s Day will feature four courses of gourmet food courtesy of their amazing chefs, live music and entry to the chocolate buffet where all the chocolate goodies are for KSH 3,950 per person.
The festival will start at 5pm every day and end at 9pm. But, on the 14th, they’ll extend the closing to 11pm. Get your tickets at the hotel’s entrance for only 1,000ksh per person! DusitD2 is located at 14 Riverside, off Riverside Drive.
