The 18th edition of the trendy Koroga Festival hosted by Capital FM is slated for July 29th at the carnivore gardens. The two-day event that highlights fashion and culture brings to the forefront the biggest music named from around the continent on one stage.
This month, the A-List guest at Koroga is the Nigerian gallant mogul and BET award winner D’banj. With a catalog of 5 albums and multiple crossovers hits like ‘Oliver Twist’, ‘Fall In Love’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me Nonsense’ D’banj is a stick out artist not only in his home country Nigeria but Africa as a whole.
In the past, D’banj was known to work with legendary music producer Don Jazzy and was responsible for his international break. D’banj has been signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music in 2011 and Sony Entertainment. He is among the few African acts that can brag about collabos with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Snoop Dog and Akon.
On The Kenyan music front, KORA and KISIMA award winner Eric Wainana will be on stage as well for the second time since 2014. The fast rising Nairobi Horns Project, a Jazz group that is making its ripples in the country will be on stage too. The group slays old school renditions with their instruments.
Music policy and party precursor will be directed by DJs Protoge, Kace, EA Wave, Foozak, Slick, and Suraj. For early bird tickets, you will pay Ksh2000 while at the gate you will part with Ksh2500. All tickets are available for purchase online.
