He’s taken on the mantle of the “Crown Prince of Benga music” and carried it with gusto for years and now the beautifully soulful Dan Aceda has joined forces with one of the country’s most consistent performers Fena Gitu, on the tune Bobea.
The duo worked on the second single off Dan Aceda’s upcoming album, with each taking on collection credits, and production handled by super producer Dillie of House of Dillie Productions for TAMA MEDIA.
According to Dan Fena was a hoot to work with, stating: “You should always work with people who make you better. Versatility personified. There’s no better voice, better co-writer that this project could have found. I am honored to have her on this track.”
Fena naturally returned the compliment: “It was an honour to work with a living legend. It was a nice challenge working with a Benga maestro to bring him to the urban side.”
Bobea is about taking pride in how far you’ve come, and looks to inspire young people to push themselves to the limit.
Something both artists manage to do, effortlessly.
