CS Mutua Dazzles Netizens With His Taewkondo

Kenyans online are raving after a video and photos emerged of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua demonstrating his martial arts skills.

Mutua had traveled to Seoul, South Korea on an official state visit to hold bilateral talks with his South Korean counterpart Foreign Minister Dr. Park Jin.  As part of the trip he was taken on a visit the World Headquarters of Tae Kwondo (Kikkuwon).

In the video and photos which were uploaded to Twitter show the Cabinet Secretary showcasing his kicks and punches before a small audience before being presented with an honorary 6th Dan Black Belt.

“It was fun to participate in a few polite Taekwondo demonstrations at the home of the art. Thank you the great people of Korea for this gift to the world,” Dr. Mutua said.

Mutua who is not new to the sport was a former martial art practitioner himself prior to shifting to Temple Kung Fu.

“In my late teens and early 20’s I practiced Taekwondo before picking up Temple Kung Fu. I need to get back to the sport,” he added.

Ironically, Dr. Mutua’s son also practices Taekwondo and was a qualified black belt holder in the sport as well.

He had also accompanied President William Ruto to South Korea to take part in the three-day official tour.
