It’s been a minute but we are back on the music scene. Check out whats hot in the 254

Yvonne Darcq

Last we heard about Yvonne was from the smash single ‘Duka’. She is creeping back after a hiatus and she lays this new track ‘fearless’. It is a statement of encouragement to upcoming talents. “Fear only becomes powerful when you give it power. Everything that you want is on the other side of fear. I had to let go of my fears to be able to make this happen and all I hope to say to Africa with this video is; Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart. On the other side of fear, lies freedom. If you want to grow, you need to be brave and take risks. If you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not growing. Be fearless; Be free.” She said in a statement on the new record, check it out below.

Kayvo Kforce- 2007 Mwananchi Initiative

Kforce came correct on this one at this crucial point in our nation. It is electioneering period and once again the artist plays his duty to remind us what went down in 2007, lives were lost, people were maimed and displaced as a result of tribalistic politics. Kayvo is candid yet sober as he recalls those trying times and calls everyone to steer clear violence. This jam should be on every media outlet as it is a proper reminder of where we came from and we should never get back.

Arrow Bwoy- Murder

A fairly new name on the scene although he has been partaking music since 2011 as a lead vocalist with Qbic boyband. 2017 is a fresh start for him as he penned a deal with Kaka empire and the marketing machinery should catapult him to some fame or sort. His new record ‘Murder’ is inspired by the different paths that everyone chooses to follow but somehow the universe has a way of connecting people. “Murder is about a bartender who is madly in love with a lady who is dedicated to the Church and the Lord. Some jobs are considered ungodly and may not be fit enough for others,” says Arrow Bwoy. Check it out below.
