Another week is upon us and as usual, art is dropping day in day out. Here is what’s hot and trendy this week on our radar.
Ochungulo Family – Kaa Na Mama Yako
By now you know Gengetone is the wave and Ochungulo family is at the apex of it. Consisting of Benzema, Nellythegoon and Dmore, the group picked up a legendary soundbite by West Okot Governor
Lonyangapuo ‘Kaa Na Mama Yako’ and made a hit. The jam keeps it street from start to end coupled up by some witty sheng rap.
Masauti Feat Lava Lava – Dondosha
You’d easily confuse this jam as an authentic Bongo track from the sound, delivery and video. Masauti is a Kenyan who’s keeping up with the East African wave spearheaded by Wasafi records and he got a Tanzanian to further his influence. ‘Dondosha’ speaks to the ladies candidly to have a good time and dance the troubles away.
H_art The Band Feat Victoria Kimani – Bad Manners
This one is for the books truly. International sound of the songstress Victoria combined with raw creativity of the boy band brought out some magic. The jam has a gradual progression from the lyrics, beats and delivery. This was a super collabo hope it blows over.
Nuclear Feat Zzero Sufuri – Kashieke Remix
Underground Hip-hop is on a rise and Zzero is here to show us what’s brewing. Raw talent on a platform is interesting to watch. The two boys reel us into their world, from how they hangout whether with money or without. Listen to the lyrics and watch how to enjoy life.
