Crispy Fresh: The Latest From The 254 Music Space

14 September of 2018 by

The month of September has been a bit slow in terms of new music releases. All in all, we have some beats blasting on local radio that you need to be aware of hence we highlight them here. Here’s our weekly update of the crispy new music.

Willy Paul Feat Khaligraph Jones – Bora Uhai

I think its time we ceased boxing Willy Paul as a Gospel artist in 2018. His latest tune Bora Uhai, he does not preach the Word but chooses to address his fans who are constantly investigating his lifestyle. Khaligraph Jones sounds like he is the Gospel act on this feature and he does deliver his testimony of blessings. I’d rate this jam 6/10 and I think it will be a banger for the clubs.

Band Beca – Ride Or Die

The ladies who shot up the scene with ‘Brathe’ have steadily been finding their footing in the industry but it seems like the spot is elusive. They just released the audio for ‘Ride Or Die’ a love song meant to encourage everyone to hold on to what they got to the ends. The lyrics are so unlike the girls and I checked out the credits I found that Bien from Sauti Sol was involved. It’s alright to get that star help but their execution is flat. I’d rate the jam a 3/10.

Ethic- Saba

You recall the viral video ‘Lamba Lolo’ from the crew, Ethic? Well, they have another street banger titled ‘Saba’. The sheng lingo of ladies bending over on the jam makes you want to listen a couple of times. The group comes through with some incredibly hard to comprehend Sheng lingo and I am here for it. I rate the jam 8/10 as these lads are talented and have a bright future.
