As we close out the month of June, we officially step into the 2end half of the year with the culture and for the culture. Here are some of the hot records that dropped the last week of June.
Zikki Feat Tarrus Riley – Kamata
A very huge win for Zikki and Kenya as a whole on this record Kamata. Zikki joins the few lists of Kenyans who have scored a collabo with a Jamaican artist and he did represent us well. We know Mr. Singy Singy Tarrus Riley loves Kenya and now he has extended the love by singing some bits in Swahili. This jam is pure gold from the production by Jukeboxx, the flow, lyrics and overall style.
King Kaka Feat Sudi Boy – Sababu
The Swahili groovy sound we have been documenting is still going on. We last heard King Kaka and Sudi on a track in 2016 but now they have this heat ‘Sababu’ and it is banging. The joint is produced by Teddy B and I love the Swahili rap and bridge. The two acts have a working chemistry and have delivered properly on this.
Willy Paul Feat Nandi – Njiwa
Just after he won the 2018 Groove Award for Video Of The Year with Jigi Jigi, Willy Paul is back with new hit Njiwa. This time he enlists the vocal prowess of Nandy on this contemporary Gospel jig. We know Willy Paul leans on addressing the Gospel and Secular fans with his love messages and he does exactly that on this record. The jam is produced by Saldido Records while the video is by True D pictures.
