The last week of December and new music is still streaming in. 254 artists seem to be riding the holiday wave in a major way and are putting in the work. Here are some of the new hits that just dropped.
Flamboyant Gospel ace Willy Pozee has had a stellar year, churning hit after hit and all were topping local charts. He now closes out 207 with the hit single ‘Tempted’. The man clearly has fans on both sides of the divide, Gospel and secular and he intends to keep it that way. Tempted highlights his struggle to stay true to himself not party and fall for the women as an upright man. The production of this jam by Saldido records gives it that club bounce and the video has the B-Boys something to rock to.
Hip Hop don Kayforce had to wind up the year on a wavy Kapuka beat that’s hot right now. Kayvo’s lyrical weight is on a different level so you know bars come in every day. ‘Jomos’ is the newest installment and he talks about his hustle to step up his money and it comes out clean on the Magix Enga beat. Jomo is the sheng adlib for a thousand shillings and Kayvo implies this art boils down to getting that paper. A good record to close out the year with.
Gabu Feat Magix Enga, Kristoff & Prezzo
An interesting collaboration for the books. We have seen Gabu and Kristoff team up before on Dirunk. Now the pair has Prezzo on a feature for the jam, ‘Here We Go’ produced by Magix Enga. The feel-good jam has a party vibe and the artists are just flowing expressing love for a lady while giving advice on love issues. Fist time as well we see Magix Enga lay a hook to the jam and he comes correct. 2018 will be interesting if we can get more of such collabos.
