Another week is upon up and here is what’s hot and trendy in the Kenyan music scene.
Gabu feat Daddy Andre & Arrow Bwoy – Koroga
Gabu keeps flourishing on his solo career albeit still part of the well known P-Unit crew. This new record ‘Koroga’ is a super collabo with the man of the moment Arrow Bwoy and Ugandan star Daddy Andre. The feel-good song talks to the ladies while elevating the party mood.
Ochungulo Family feat Exray & Gwaash
Ochungulo family are at the forefront of this new wave of street records spreading like wildfire. Gengetone is the name of the rapidly growing sound and you should be familiar with it. Aluta means Aluta Continua but in partying context. The jam speaks for the revelers who party from dusk till dawn and repeat all over the following day.
Masauti – Ipepete
Masauti is undoubtedly taking over the industry with his Swahili-Bongo infused sound to the Kenyan market. Any record from him would be mistken for a Wasafi Records jam but he is authentic Kenyan. This new record ‘Ipepete‘ is for the ladies with the ladies and is party banger. Masauti is ace on delivery, production is on point and the video is international standards. I’d easily score this a 9/10.
